RDA & FRBR - An online course by GO | School for Information

Visualization of Knowledge (online)

A picture says more than a thousand words. But what if you have more than 1000 words? And what if there are specific relations between those words? Can you capture that in an image? Yes, you can!

Knowledge and other semantic networks, such as taxonomies, thesauri or ontologies, are often difficult to grasp for users who have not been involved in their creation. Especially if they are extensive overviews, or if there are several types of relationships, it is difficult to present the terms and the connections between these terms in a clear and concise manner. Using them in such a way that users can find information more easily is not an easy task at all.
