Visualization of Knowledge (online)
A picture says more than a thousand words. But what if you have more than 1000 words? And what if there are specific relations between those words? Can you capture that in an image? Yes, you can!
Knowledge and other semantic networks, such as taxonomies, thesauri or ontologies, are often difficult to grasp for users who have not been involved in their creation. Especially if they are extensive overviews, or if there are several types of relationships, it is difficult to present the terms and the connections between these terms in a clear and concise manner. Using them in such a way that users can find information more easily is not an easy task at all.
The workshop is suitable for anyone who regularly analyses data and information and presents it to others.
During the 2 sessions of 3 hours lecturer will guide you through the course material in an interactive and practical way to ensure that you not only get the needed knowledge and insight but develop your skills as well.
Afterwards, you will have the knowledge, insight and skills to transform word structures into images, so that you can communicate your message effectively.
