In April GO | School for Information provided the first of 9 modules in a 2 year course for Head of Records Management Departments of the Surinam Ministries. This course is a collaboration between the National Archive of Surinam, GO Foundation and GO | School for Information. With the first module, Marketing of Information Services, a long wait (due to Covid) came to an end.
This advanced Records Management course gives the participants the opportunity to start the digital transformation of their departments of the Suriname Government. Most of the Archiving is still paper based, but with new knowledge, skills and insights it will be possible to improve the quality of the information services.
The other modules in the course are:
- Records Management I & II
- Information Retrieval
- Communication Skills
- Information Management
- Quality management and Auditing
- ICT and Information Services
- Business Writing Skills
Part of the course is a ‘train-the-trainer’ course, so the National Archive of Suriname will be able to provide the course by themselves in the near future!
