We completed our visit to Aruba with a visit to a department of the Biblioteca Nacional; Arubiana. Here they collect all the publications on Aruba, the former Dutch Antilles and large parts of the Caribbean.
Just as in the other places we visited this week we met enthusiastic people who want to take the library forward into a new digital age. And here as well there is a need for futher education to bring the information services to a desired higher level.
Among other topics wee spoke about digitalisaton of information (especially multi media), customer focus and content curation. A positive conversation, focussing on opportunities. So again: To be continued.
