Last month, GO | School of Information launched the well-known and highly valued SOD1 programme on both Aruba and Bonaire. This foundational programme for records managers and archivists has, for decades, been the standard qualification for professionals working in information management and archiving in the Netherlands, and is now also available in the Dutch-speaking Caribbean region.
A total of 48 enthusiastic information managers and archival staff members have now commenced the programme, which consists of four modules: Positioning Information Management within the Organisation, Records Management, Communication and Advisory Skills, and Information Systems Management. Through these modules, participants are being trained to become fully qualified archival professionals and records managers.
Over the coming year, participants will complete extensive coursework and practical assignments, ultimately leading to a valuable and recognised diploma qualification.
