Last week, we were proud to participate in the 2025 Conference of The Association of Caribbean University, Research and Institutional Libraries (ACURIL Caribbean Univ Res & Inst Libraries) in hashtagCuraçao from 8 – 12 June 2025. ACURIL is the association of librarians, archivists, and cultural heritage professionals working across the Caribbean.

📣 Eric Kokke, director of GO | School for Information, gave two presentations. On Monday 9 June, he introduced the audience to our Community Librarian Training Program, developed in collaboration with the National Archives of Suriname. On Wednesday 10 June, he delivered an energetic and interactive talk on the impact of hashtagAI on information discovery and retrieval.

🌍 Cheryl Peltier-Davis, GO’s International Relations Manager, spoke on Tuesday 10 June about technological developments in the field and how these impact the hashtagcompetencies, hashtagservices, hashtagroles, and hashtagtasks of information professionals. Cheryl is currently also gathering hashtaginsights to help us realize our ambition: launching an international leadership training program for librarians and archivists.

The hashtagACURIL2025 conference provided a great opportunity to strengthen existing connections and build new ones.

🤝 Colleagues Annelies Baak and Paul Baak Baak also proudly represented GO | School for Information, continuing our mission to expand and strengthen our international initiatives.
