From April 2 to 4, GO opleidingen had the opportunity to participate in the 3rd International Kütüphane ve Teknoloji Festival (3rd International Library and Technology Festival) in Istanbul. The festival took place in the impressive Rami Library — a former military barracks transformed into a remarkable library ✨
For three days, the theme “Healing Library” took center stage — the library as a place of recovery, connection, and well-being. Libraries, technology, and innovation were all explored within this theme.
With international speakers, inspiring keynotes from organizations such as IFLA, EBLIDA, and the American Library Association, and a wide range of workshops, it was a unique meeting place for professionals from around the world.
🤝 A special moment already took place on the first day: our colleague Eren Polat had the opportunity to personally inform the Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gökhan Yazgı, about GO opleidingen and our international offerings. A great opportunity to showcase what we have to offer — beyond the borders of the Netherlands!
🎤 On the second day, colleague Eric Kokke delivered the workshop “Think Different: Communicate with a Purpose.” Because no matter how much the world around us changes, it always starts with being aware of your added value and communicating with purpose.
📚 A valuable next step: Maureen Yvel and Merve Yavuzdemir, Director of the National Library in Ankara, connected to further explore how GO opleidingen and their organization can collaborate — and how we can jointly contribute to the development of Turkish libraries and their staff 🌟
